Good Molecules built its name on stripped-back, single-active products at rock-bottom prices, and its squalane oil is exactly that. It's often the cheapest sticker price of any 100% squalane we track, which makes it the ideal way to find out whether squalane suits your skin before committing more money.
The molecule is identical to what's in the premium bottles, so performance is the same story: light, fast-absorbing, non-greasy. As a first oil, to find out whether squalane suits you, it's hard to argue with.
The catch is size. The bottle holds 13 ml — less than half of The Ordinary's 30 ml — so the low sticker price hides a high cost per ounce; the spec table above shows the live figure. That makes it the wrong bottle to use liberally on body and hair: once you know you like squalane, a larger bottle such as Timeless is far better value. The brand is also sold through fewer retailers than The Ordinary. Neither changes what's inside.
