About Squalane Club
One ingredient, understood deeply — and an honest account of who's behind it.
Squalane Club exists because of a small frustration: squalane is one of the most useful, best-tolerated ingredients in skincare, and yet the advice about it is scattered across listicles that rarely explain why one bottle is worth buying over another. So we built a site that does one thing properly — compare squalane products on what actually matters: purity, source, comedogenic fit, and cost per ounce.
Who writes this

Stephen V.
Editor, Squalane Club
Squalane Club is written by Stephen V., an enthusiast who's genuinely into skincare. That's the honest framing, and it's deliberate: I'm not a dermatologist, a cosmetic chemist, or an esthetician, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. What I do is read the ingredient lists, compile the published specs, do the math on cost per ounce, and cite my sources. No lab coat.
The publishers ranking for squalane terms lead with credentialed bylines and testing labs — dermatologist reviewers, big in-house labs, "we tested 30 oils." I can't imitate that honestly, and I won't try. A one-person brand claiming an MD panel or a test lab is the easiest thing in the world to falsify, and a fabricated endorsement is exactly the kind of thing that erodes trust. So I compete a different way: on a published, reproducible method and radical transparency.
What "Club" means
The "Club" is just the idea that if you care enough about one ingredient to read the specs, you're in good company here. Everything on the site is built around helping you make one good decision: which squalane, for your skin, at the best real value.
How we make money (plainly)
Squalane Club is reader-supported through affiliate links, mostly Amazon. If you buy through our links we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and it never changes our picks — a cheaper option beats a higher-paying one every time. The full details are on our affiliate disclosure and editorial policy pages.
